Miscellany Monday ---- 19 Weeks and Sex Party
one. 19 weeks
yes you read that right....19 weeks....where is time going? this has been the fastest pregnancy in all creation. (now that i said that it will sloooooow dooooown and drag out) i still feel terrific..granted i'm not getting huge yet and the baby is still the size of a tomato. (which doesn't seem right since they say it's 6" head to bottom)
I can still move and shake like I did before I was pregnant. And in 2 days I will be able to see sweet bean wiggling around and find out if we even the numbers of boys and girls in the house....or if the boys outnumber us 5 to 3.....stay tuned!!!
two. doomsday
hubs has been
three. my mommy
sweet lady is here for the week to visit. here's to a fun filled week of laughing our pants off for no reason at all!!!
four. more of Lily
sweet girl is a hoot i tell you. if you spent a few days with us she would cure all your sadness. she renames Reid on a daily basis it seems....my mom was showing her a picture of Reid a few days ago and she said ohhh look...baby Alexander. today she is playing and is yelling at Kenneth to look at her and do what she says. Kenneth isn't cooperating maybe b/c "Kenneth" doesn't have a clue who you are talking to. (giggles) we were on a walk...and she spotted a little girl and her daddy walking...Lily shouts.."Hey River" (never seen them before in my life) her dad said "What did she call her?" I tried to explain that she makes names up for ppl....but then again this man doesn't know my sweet Lily so it probably made no sense. (his loss)
five. quick and super easy
want a meal that takes seconds to throw together and tastes pretty good to boot?
Rosina's Spaghetti Meatball Pie
Makes 4 - 6 servings
Ingredients:
24 Rosina Italian Style Meatballs
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 - 8 oz. pkg. spaghetti
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1.25 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese (reserve 1/2 cup)
26 oz. jar chunky spaghetti sauce
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375ºF. Sauté peppers and onions until softened, about 10 minutes. Set aside. Cook spaghetti, drain and rinse with cold water and pat dry. Place in large mixing bowl. Add eggs and Parmesan cheese and stir to combine. Press mixture into the bottom of a sprayed 9” pie plate. Top with 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. Thaw frozen meatballs in microwave for 2 minutes. Cut each meatball in half. Layer the meatball halves over the cheese mixture. Combine spaghetti sauce with cooked peppers and onions. Spoon over meatball layer. Loosely cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese over the spaghetti sauce mixture. Continue to bake uncovered for another 10 minutes until bubbly. Cut into wedges and serve.
hubs was skeptical at first....but he ate it and then even said "wow...not bad for a throw together meal" (basically meaning I can file away to make again later)six. gender or sex
so i'm having a few friends over for a gender reveal.
hubs asked "what is that?"
me: "don't be weird...you know what it is"
hubs: "it's not gender...it's sex"
me: "well I can't ask our friends and neighbors to come to our "SEX PARTY" ... how would that look?"
hubs: "makes you wonder which ones would show up"
